The Madison Mutt Partner Program is our way of working with the people who already champion thoughtful pet products: creators, bloggers, small businesses, breed-club enthusiasts, trainers, groomers, photographers, and ordinary dog-and-cat people with a community they love. There's no minimum follower count. There's no application gauntlet. There's a real human (Anna or Alex) reading every sign-up.
What is an affiliate, exactly?
An affiliate is someone who recommends our products to their audience — on Instagram, TikTok, a blog, a YouTube channel, a newsletter, a Discord, a WhatsApp group, anywhere — and earns a commission whenever one of their recommendations turns into a sale.
When you sign up, we give you a personal tracking link. You share that link with your audience, embed it in your content, or paste it into your bio. When someone clicks through and buys from Madison Mutt, our affiliate platform records that the sale came from you, and credits the commission to your account. You don't handle inventory, shipping, customer service, or anything operational. We do all of that. You bring the audience. We bring the products and the rest.
Think of it as the digital version of a friend saying you have to try this place — except this time, the friend gets paid.

Numbers compound faster than people think. A creator who sends us one $80 order a week earns roughly $625 a year in commission without trying. A creator who sends us five $80 orders a week is past $3,000 — before bonuses.
Monthly performance bonuses
On top of your 15%, we pay a flat bonus when your monthly valid sales cross certain thresholds. Only the highest tier you reach applies each month — the tiers don't stack on top of each other.

- Only one bonus tier applies per month — the highest one you qualify for. If you hit $2,750 in a month, your bonus is $50 (the $2,000 tier), not $50 + $10.
- Bonuses reset to zero on the 1st of every month. Each month is its own clean slate.
- Bonuses are paid monthly, alongside your regular commission.
- Only valid, non-returned sales count toward your monthly total.
Spending budget for top partners
From a certain performance level onwards, we open up a monthly in-store budget that partners can spend on Madison Mutt products — for content, for their own pets, for giveaways to their audience, however they want to use it.
You qualify for the spending budget if either of the following is true:
Sales-based access. You've brought in at least $500 in valid sales in a single calendar month (counted from the 1st to the last day of that month). Once you cross that line, the budget unlocks for you going forward.
Audience-based access. You have an active following of at least 20,000 followers, with at least 50% of that audience based in the US, and engagement (likes, views, comments) that's proportionate to your follower count. If you'd like to apply this way, send us your analytics screenshots when you sign up and we'll review them personally.

Frequently asked questions
How do I join?
Sign up through our partner portal: af.uppromote.com/madisonmutt/register. It takes a few minutes. We review every application by hand — usually within a few days — and you'll hear back either way.
Is there a minimum follower count?
No. We work with creators of every size. A tightly engaged audience of 800 dachshund owners can outperform an account of 80,000 generalists. What matters is whether you and Madison Mutt feel like a fit.
How does the tracking work?
Once you're approved, you'll get a unique affiliate link through UpPromote. Anyone who clicks that link and buys from us within the tracking window is attributed to you. You'll see your clicks, conversions, and earnings in your UpPromote dashboard in real time.
Can I use my own affiliate link to buy things for myself?
Please don't. Affiliate links are meant for your audience, not for self-purchases — using your own link for your own orders is against the program terms and those commissions won't be approved. If you're shopping for yourself, just shop normally, and check the spending budget section above for how partners receive product support from us.
I'm a new customer — can I use the welcome discount and the affiliate program at the same time?
Not at the same time. The first-time customer discount is for new customers placing their first order as a buyer. The Partner Program is a separate arrangement for people referring others to us. You're welcome to use your new-customer discount on your own first order — and once you're set up as a partner, your affiliate link is for sending other people our way.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts are processed monthly through UpPromote, using your preferred payout method (PayPal, bank transfer, etc., depending on your region).
A commission becomes eligible for payout once the order it relates to has been delivered, and a short settlement window has passed — 14 days after delivery. This gives us time to confirm the order arrived safely, wasn't returned, and didn't run into a fulfillment issue. If everything's clean at the end of that window, the commission is approved and queued for your next payout. If an order is returned, refunded, or charged back during that window, the corresponding commission isn't paid out — which is standard across affiliate programs, and one of the reasons we're able to keep our rate at 15%.
In practice: most commissions clear within 3 to 5 weeks of the original order date.
Does the monthly bonus also have to wait for the settlement window?
Yes. The bonus is calculated on confirmed, non-returned sales for the month, so it's finalised once those sales have cleared the same delivery + 14-day window. It's then paid alongside the corresponding commission.
What can I post? Are there content rules?
Be yourself, be honest, and disclose that you're an affiliate (a simple #ad, #affiliate, or partner tag is enough in most regions — follow whatever your local rules require, such as the FTC in the US). Don't make medical or veterinary claims about products. Don't run paid ads on our brand name. Beyond that, we trust you.
Can I be an affiliate if I have my own pet business?
In most cases, yes — groomers, trainers, sitters, photographers, and small pet-related businesses can make wonderful partners. If you sell directly competing products, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
What does the spending budget actually cover?
Products from our store, up to the monthly amount you've unlocked. You can use it for content, for your own pets, or for giveaways to your audience. Shipping is included on partner-budget orders within the US.
What happens if my performance drops below the spending budget threshold?
Nothing dramatic. Your account stays active and your link keeps working. Spending-budget access is reviewed monthly and will pause for any month you fall below the threshold — it reopens automatically the next month you qualify again.
